Dominion Diagnostics is the premier provider of comprehensive clinical quantitative urine drug testing, medication monitoring, and support services nationwide. Serving hundreds of clients in a variety of medical specialties, we provide actionable information to improve patient care and medical outcomes in the treatment of Chronic Pain and Addiction Medicine. This is a hybrid position with in-office attendance in North Kingstown, RI.

Job Overview:

Internal Account Manager is a Revenue Cycle Management representative responsible for the billing preprocessing tasks associated with a defined set of States/Accounts. He or she will work with external clients and patients, and internal personnel, and act as sales support to complete patient accounts in preparation for claim submission and to optimize the operations surrounding billing.

Schedule / Hours:

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The position is Hybrid (Remote & On-Site) and based in North Kingstown, RI.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patient registration and patient account maintenance
  • Review and process daily laboratory requisitions for billing information
  • Accurately input information into the billing system for proper claims submissions
  • Insurance eligibility and benefit verification
  • Review and prepare communications to resolve deficient patient accounts
  • Maintain AR according to timely filing and aging guidelines
  • Identifies aged accounts for supervisor review
  • Serve as a liaison with management, on account issues
  • Prioritize, analyze, and summarize client status with regard to contracts, volumes, problems, etc.
  • Appropriate retention of medical records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally (in person and by telephone) and in writing with internal and external customers: i.e. third-party payers, patients, clients, team members, and management
  • Operate office equipment such as phones, voice mail, messaging systems, fax machines, scanners, and computers
  • Conducts themselves in a manner that is consistent with the overall department protocol and within compliance with Dominion Diagnostics’ Compliance and HIPAA programs
  • Prioritize assignments while maintaining a standard workload

Experience:

  • Analyze and resolve problems both independently as well as in a team setting
  • Work within strict deadlines
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Customer Service
  • Experience with HIPAA and use of medical billing software preferred
